My friends...Leiko Beck is back!!!!
At least back for an appearance this month at Scrapinsider.
She has a fun kit called Needle and Thread. The colors and patterns are to die for!!

Here is a fun layout I did with some pictures I took of Taylor and friends at a waterpark in a shopping plaza. If I was still a kid, I'd say that was an ideal day! First, going to see "Horton hears a Who" at the movie theatre with my buddy. Then, lunch outside with more friends. Followed by playing in this cool water fountain with jumping sprays of water with my friends!!  Here's a layout from the water park.

Note: I played around with the color of Taylor’s ballet’s outfit. It was light pink and I wanted it to match the lavender in the layout. I made 2 copies of the picture. The first layer is the regular color photo. The 2nd layer is the lavender colorized version. On the top layer, I erased away the area of Taylor’s leotard and tutu to expose the lavender color on the outfit.

Much to my disappointment Leiko Beck has decided to take an indefinite leave of absence from designing. She plans to spend more time with family and the photography end of her business. I am so bummed. I was really having a great time being on her creative team. We will anxiously await her return in the design world.

This week at the Digital Scrapbook Artisan Guild there is a new kit called Origins; a new Artisan Notebook (magazine) and a new CALL for the April Artisan Notebook. Here is the new kit for the month. There are so many yummy papers and elements in this kit. Here is a layout I did with the kit.

The Artisan Notebook (magazine), I took a peek at yesterday and OH MY!! there are a LOT of tutorials on techniques that I think you’ll learn a lot from. You can pick up the Notebook at many digital stores, here is one: www.pickleberrypop.com.

Here are the details for the April call, if you are interested in submitting. I submitted for this one!! It was a lot of fun to learn a technique to make the photos look like pop art. And it’s always fun if you can get published too!! 


The April issue will be featuring layouts with a POP ART theme. This can be interpreted any way you wish! If you have any layouts you would like to have considered please send them along! Send 8"x8" or 8"x10" layouts, 150 dpi, under 1 mb to amyeileenhead attt msn dotttt com by March 8th. The subject line should read APRIL ISSUE. Feel the Love

Here are the Valentines that Taylor brought for her class today. With the snowstorm, they celebrated their Valentine card exchange today. Everything was made with Sausan Designs Lil Love Cards, Love Bird Kit.

I am having such a great time playing with Sausan Designs!!! Her stuff just screams FUN!!
